Nisan S. Cerami, DAOM, LAc

Nisan grew up here in the Conejo Valley.  She received both her MTOM (Master of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine) and DAOM (Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine) from Emperor's College of Traditional Oriental Medicine in Santa Monica, CA.  While fulfilling her clinical hours, Nisan completed internships at both the Roy and Patricia Disney Family Cancer Center in Burbank, CA and the Santa Monica Homeopathic Pharmacy as an Chinese Medicine herbalist.  She became a LAc. (Licensed Acupuncturist in the state of California) in 2014, and in 2016, was the team acupuncturist for the Los Angeles Rams.

In 2020, Nisan closed her Westlake Clinic due to the Covid19 pandemic.  Before reopening, she took the opportunity to extend her knowledge in Women's Health and fertility by volunteering at a Beverly Hills fertility clinic.  It was like a taking a hands-on master's class.

Her doctoral thesis discusses the efficacy of acupuncture in primary sleep disorders in comparison to many commonly prescribed medications for sleeplessness.  She strongly feels that improving people's response to stress and ability to sleep is the foundation of helping people heal from almost any ailment.

Additionally, Nisan has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Emerson College in Boston Massachusetts, and completed a 300 hour certification program in massage therapy at the Advanced School of Massage Therapy in Thousand Oaks, CA.

Nisan has been in private practice since 2014.
